Grantham Town showed more of what they are capable of in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Frickley Athletic at The Meres.
Joint manager Wayne Hallcro said the performance was overdue: “A win like that has been coming for a while. After 10 minutes, we got on top of the midfield and that gave us confidence to go on and win the game. We need to make it hard for opponents all over the pitch, all of the time.”
Conor Higginson missed the game due to flu, and new signing Alex Troke is yet to set a boot on the pitch.
Hallcro said: “Alex is fitting in well. He knows he has got to fight to earn a place in the 16, and is up for the challenge.”
The Gingerbreads visit AFC Fylde today (Saturday), and Ilkeston FC on Monday evening.
Hallcro said: “If we do our jobs, we have nothing to fear.”
