Grantham Town’s search for a main sponsor is still on after the withdrawal of Stoneacre Group.
Following a championship-winning season and promotion, Grantham successfully stayed in the Northern Premier League Premier Division this year to cement firm foundations for the coming campaign.
The club is eager to boost the profile of the Gingerbreads’ set-up and recent developments have seen the Youth Academy kick-started and the refurbished MCS Centre at The Meres stadium.
Commercial manager Steve Cardy said the one thing the club could guarantee is that the new main sponsor will get “an unrivalled amount of publicity” in and around Grantham.
He said: “The club are taking big strides at the moment; everything is heading in the right direction and we are very pleased with the squad, the new youth set-up and everything else surrounding the club.
“We do however still need to attract more sponsorship. We are selling advertising packages for our programmes, pitchside boards and website as well as match sponsorship packages.
“The main sponsor however is one we really need.
“We realise it’s difficult out there for businesses at the moment but we have adjusted the figures we require and hopefully somebody will come in to help.”
The club’s main home sponsor package includes company name and logo on home shirts, on main signage above the stadium entrance and inside the ground, on every page of the Grantham Town website and on all advertising.
Free admission to matches and club discounts also come as part of the package which works out at a not unreasonable weekly equivalent rate.
