Grantham Town triumph against Worksop Town

GRANTHAM Town gave their fans a Bank Holiday to remember with three second-half goals securing a 3-0 victory at home to Worksop Town.

Following a goalless first half the game came to life in the second period when Sam Purcicoe gave the Gingerbreads the lead.

Ben Saunders and Phil Watt were also on the score sheet in a game in which the visitors were reduced to ten men mid way through the second half.

The only blemish was a nasty injury to star striker Paul Grimes who was taken to hospital after the game for an x-ray on an injured ankle.
