Gonerby 3

Gonerby started really strongly with Meffen and Jefferson going close, and a powerful strike from man-of-the-match Grieh struck the crossbar.

Newark took the lead against the run of play, but Gonerby bounced back with Jefferson going close before a cool finish from Baker grabbed the equaliser just before the break.

Gonerby pressed again and were rewarded when Coates scored from outside the box from a free kick. A third came when Meffen crossed for Jefferson to slot home.

Gonerby could have extended the lead further, but conceded two late goals to drop valuable points.

Great Ponton 2

Welton 2

Ponton started brightly with Adam Gait and Copley going close before they took the lead, with skipper Gait smashing home.

A plucky Welton pressed but found Ponton keeper Jake Cook in fine form.

The visitors levelled from the penalty spot after the break.

Ponton regrouped and went close through midfielder Anthony Renshaw, before man-of-the-match Gait crashed in a 20-yard free kick.

Welton were not done though and also found the net a second time after a goalmouth scramble.

MoM also went to midfielder Brandon McDonald.
