Harrowby Utd 10

The Young Arrows travelled to Fernwood Foxes for the first time looking to make it 10 out of 10 in the league and within four minutes Harrowby stunned the home side when Henry Dilley smashed home a 25 yarder which flashed past the helpless keeper.

Precise passing and relentless tackling from the Arrows midfield allowed the forwards to break through at will with the in-form Matt Cox scoring a quick fire hat-trick and Kye Hull notching a well-taken goal in a ruthless 10 minute period.

Hull then doubled his tally and Owen Rowley bagged another, giving the Arrows a comfortable 7-0 lead at the break.

Playing up the slope in the second half, Harrowby found it a little harder to gain ground, but with the confidence of a solid back four the Young Arrows soon started to find the all-important gaps and it was not long before Korban Read found the net with a far post finish.

Marley Okoth headed home from a corner kick to make it nine and, after some delightful play, Matt Cox climbed the highest to power home a header for his fourth and Harrowby’s double figure scoreline.

Team coach Rob Foister said the whole team put in a massive shift and were outstanding. Man of the match was Joe Down who, in the central defender position, battled and won every ball and fully deserved the recognition.
