Grantham Town have received additional sponsorship towards their youth division.
Victor Wood Kia of Grantham this week announced their sponsorship of the Gingerbreads’ under-18 team. The new relationship follows the dealership’s continued support of the under-13 team.
Grantham Town’s youth division aims to provide youngsters with quality coaching in a safe and fun environment to allow them to better themselves and progress through the set-up, and aim to push players through into the first team squad within the club.
And this season has so far seen three talented players from the under-18s making first team appearances, in addition to their continuing aim to progress to new levels in the 2016 FA Youth Cup tournament.
Victor Wood Kia has loaned both teams a Kia Sorento to ensure they can travel from match to match with minimum hassle.
Victor Wood dealer principal Andy Doyle is a huge football fan and said it was brilliant to be able to support local talent. He said: “It’s exciting to be able to watch both teams progress and continue working hard to achieve their goals and bring the best out in everyone. There are certainly some great players to keep an eye on, and we’ll continue to cheer the boys on.”
Under the careful guidance of manager Russell Cousins, who was recently voted Head of Youth Development by the club’s youth committee, both teams are expected to improve and become forces to be reckoned with.
Russell said: “I can’t thank Emma and Andy at Kia enough for all their kindness and help in supporting us. We look forward to working closely with Kia throughout the season and hopefully in the future too.”
Additionally, the under-18 team will be working alongside the Pink Ribbon Foundation breast cancer charity, which will appear on their shirts, alongside the Victor Wood Kia logo which features on the shirts of both teams.
