Grantham Men’s Singles Darts League held its presentation evening and Jeff Wise Open competition last Friday.

Awards were presented by Dave Pearson, a former singles league player and still a regular on the scene.

Doubles winners were Mick Taylor and Roy Canning, and runners-up were Dan Warrington and Trev Bowman.

Rich Selby won the Most 180s award with 18, and the Highest Finish went to Alan Spencer with 158.

Winner of the league was John Baker who collected the John Bullings Shield, with Ashley Preston finishing as runner-up. Rich Selby was third, Mick Taylor fourth and Mark Blackwell fifth.

The Jeff Wise Open attracted a strong field of 38 players and was a very high scoring competition.

The final was contested between Adam Beck and Stuart Emms and was an incredible affair that produced one 180, seven 140s and 12 centuries and above. Adam secured a three legs to one victory and closed the match with a 120 finish.
