Stoke Rochford contested the Hotchkin Cup at Ashridge in Surrey and emerged victorious.
Stoke Rochford’s golf course was designed by Colonel John Hotchkin who was also responsible for five other courses in England – Woodhall Spa, The Links Newmarket, West Sussex, Ashridge and Kington – and each year the clubs all meet up on a club rotation basis and play for the Hotchkin Cup.
The format of the day saw each club have four pairs playing a betterball stableford, with the best three scores to count.
Stoke Rochford won with a magnificent score of 140, just beating the home club Ashridge by three points.
