The October Texas Scramble was won by the trio of Pete Farmer, Ron Selby and Barry Kay who netted a card of 2.5 under SSS.
Runners-up were John Costall, John Came and Alex Methven, 0.6 under SSS.
Graham Buxton returned the best card of the day in the seniors’ monthly medal, one under CSS. Second place was secured by Pete Farmer, one point adrift, which lifted him a bit nearer to catching overall leader John Johnson who only finished joint 11th.
Order of Merit points were also accrued by Bryan Shelley, Ken Jameson, David Leslie, Francis Haw, John Chambers and Graham Mackinder.
Birdie twos were recorded by Graham Mackinder, Graham Buxton and Frank Brumpton to share the weekly sweep.
Stoke Rochford played the first round of their winter-long Winter Warmers series as a teams of three waltzer.
Winners with 79 points were Greg Ewart, Phil White and Dave Hamston. Runners-up with 74 were Brian Ayto, Phil Varley and Alan Dolby, from third placed Don Werner and Brian White, aided by their sleeping partner Phil Hewes, on 73.
