Sudbrook Moor’s Rainbow Series has provided members with a variety of weekend competitions on a monthly basis throughout the year.

Events have included pairs and team competitions, from greensomes to betterball and Am-Ams.

The final roll-up of the year was a teams of three Texas Scramble Medal which enjoyed a good turnout, all of whom excelled by beating the course’s SSS.

Streets ahead with what looks like being a club record for a Texas return was Phil Hall, Martin Greene and Mick Beasley who were 10 under, playing off a team handicap of three, two win by five shots.

Their score included an eagle on the fourth par four, four front nine birdies and a bogey, and they went out in five under.

There were four teams five shots adrift, only separated by the decimal point.

Runners-up were Barry Pogson, Barry Rohland and Christopher Wilmot by 0.2 of a shot from Claire Lowes, David Templeton and Jim Garriock. Point one of a shot brought in fourth placed Martyn Smith, Jason Turner and Ivory Metcalfe.
