Grantham karate students pass exams with flying colours

GRANTHAM Ji-shin Aiwakai Karate Club hosted a course and grading with world master Kuniaki Sakagami (8th Dan) last week, when 25 students passed their exams.

Club instructor Angie Emms 5th Dan said Sakagami sensei was very pleased with the above average standard at which all students passed. Ellie Wills and Natile Sutton both shone out with first class passes.

Angie said it was very rewarding to see students doing so well. She said: “They certainly put in the hard work and dedication needed to suceed.”

The sucessful students were Danielle Farmer, Hermione Farmer 5th Kyu, Jessica Farmer, Emily Tilford, Thomas Dell, Dylan Hardy, Caitlyn Rayner, Mikey Bunning, Elizabeth Cooley, Charlie Simmons, Sam Randall, Benjamin Quayle 8th Kyu. Kaan Yaldiz, Charlotte Cole, Natalie Sutton, Jack Goode, Jack O’Hara 9th Kyu, Andrew Tonge, Ellie Wills, Daniel Simmonds, Lee Allisen 6th Kyu, Joshua Bailey-Drew 5th Kyu. Bethany Ivermee, Ben Johnson 4th Kyu, Duncan Vittue 1st.
