Belvoir Karate Group had another fantastic result at their recent grading with a 100 per cent pass rate.

The grading was held at their Dojo at Bottesford VC Hall last Sunday and was an action-packed and sometimes intense day.

The students were tested on basic punches, kicks and combinations, kata and padwork, with the more experienced students also tested through several bouts of continuous fighting.

The grading was presided over by chief instructor Sensei Graeme Walden, and Senseis Ian Simpson and Claire Lowes.

Graeme said how impressed he was by all the students who he said had practised so hard: “Their dedication has really paid off. We are having a lot of success with all the clubs full or near to full, so much so that we may require yet another club to fulfil demand, perhaps in Grantham.

“We have students covering all levels, from complete beginners to others very close to their black belts.”

Belvoir Karate currently has clubs at Bottesford, Aslockton. Radcliffe on Trent and Marston and welcomes any new members at any of the classes. The first lesson is free.
