The ninth annual Lincolnshire Tae Kwon-do Championships were held at The Meres leisure centre.

Around 30 clubs were represented with some invited from Nottingham, Loughborough, Birmingham and Whitley Bay.

The competition was won overall by Fakenham, but Grantham and Corby Glen club members did not go home empty handed, and nor did those from Sleaford, Newark and Melton.

Event organisers and club instructors Malcolm Scholes, Jill Pearce and Daniel Pearce were pleased with the high standard throughout the day from all competitors, with ages ranging from five to 62 years in various events.

Mayor of Grantham Ian Selby and the Mayoress assisted in trophy presentations throughout the day.
