SIX members of King’s School Tae Kwon-Do Club passed their black belt promotions under the supervision of a panel of six 8th degree black belts.

Jake Bailey and Jacob Wiseman achieved first degree black belts, Jessica Wan attained second degree, and Paul Wiseman, Gary Spence and Leigh Bridge were promoted to third degree black belt.

All six were tested at the Tae Kwon-Do Association of Great Britain’s Academy in Bristol. During the exam they had to demonstrate self-defence routines against various opponents, as well as techniques of power and control, and finally a verbal test of their knowledge of the martial art.

Grantham and Corby Glen club members are now in training for the Midland Area Championships at Kettering next month.
