A Grantham team has proved to be the dominant force in primary schools netball this season.

Isaac Newton triumphed in both the Grantham Primary Schools League and the Grantham Primary Schools Tournament.

In the league, they won nine of their 11 matches and drew the other two. They tied at the top of the league with Corby Glen but won the season-long competition by four on goal difference.

In the town tournament, Isaac Newton again went undefeated, winning six of their eight games and drawing two to come out as champions. Barrowby were runners-up.

Not content with netball in the Grantham area, Isaac Newton also competed in the Lincs School Games at The Meres last month.

School netball coach Pippa Walker said it had been a good season, which would be rounded off with a trip to watch elite Netball Superleague side Loughborough Lightnings.
