Students from King’s School took part in the East Midlands round of the National Swimming Championships at Bramcote on Friday.

The school entered teams in the Junior, Inter and Senior sections of the gala, and all of the boys performed extremely well.

The boys swam against Lutterworth High, Oundle, Nottingham High, King Edward VI Grammar, Minster, Priory LSST, Kimberley, William Farr, Groby, Ashby and Bilborough.

Whilst all teams performed well, it was the Inter team that excelled, winning both the medley and the freestyle events.

Their times in those events should see them qualify for the national finals to be held in the Olympic pool at the London Aquatics Centre in November.
