Grantham Tennis Club’s mixed team played away at Ravenshead last weekend and came away with a narrow victory after a very good display of tennis.

It was a very tight match but it was a good win nonetheless, with the Grantham side edging it 58 games to 50.

The team consisted of Colin Walton and Katy Dines, Peter and Ros Elphick, and Neil Robertson and Lorraine Walton.

l Grantham ladies’ veteran team hosted Boston 2nd in a Lincs Ladies’ Vets match on Sunday.

After a hard fought tussle against a strong team, Grantham came away with a 5-3 sets win, with the game difference only being 38-35.

Melanie Bloodworth and Wendy Stewart won both of their matches, and Sue Edmonds and Pam Aust won one out of three.

All in all, it was a very good effort from the ladies which fortunately paid off with yet again another narrow win from another great performance.
