Grantham Tennis Club are participating in the LTA ‘Tennis for Kids’ programme which is a new initiative to capitalise on Great Britain’s fantastic achievement of winning the Davis Cup for the first time since 1937, and to try and inspire the next generation to take up the great game of tennis.

The programme will see 1,000 coaches from clubs across Britain deliver a free six-week programme to more than 10,000 children up and down the country, with the added incentive of receiving a free racket and further discounts on club activities.

It is specifically aimed at five to eight-year-olds who are currently not members of an LTA-affiliated club and is being overseen nationally by Davis Cup captain Leon Smith and his amazing team, and by coach Paul Kennedy at Grantham. All participating coaches have had intensive training days and are set to make this one of the best offers the LTA has ever designed for children.

Numbers are limited to 10 children per club and the programme begins at Grantham on April 14 at the club’s Arnoldfield courts.

For more information contact GTC and speak to Sarah or Rob on 01476 591391 or find the club on Facebook.
