Five Grantham girls have secured top flight experience next season in Division One of the National Water Polo League.

Amelia Peters, Naya Patel, Giorgia Bosworth, India Wilkinson and Rose Bitowt all play for Hucknall senior ladies’ team, as well as representing both KGGS and Grantham.

Having gained promotion to Division Two, two years ago, the whole team’s hard work and effort at training has seen them become a force not to be underrated nationally.

Having finished second in the league, this allowed entry to the championship play-offs for promotion. The final weekend at Sheffield saw three teams fighting for the two remaining spots.

Hucknall ladies won two of their final three games securing the second place and making history for the Nottinghamshire side. The girls will face a tough season playing against Olympians and great players, amongst extremely well drilled sides in the premier league of water polo next season.

They are all are looking to learn from the experience, and improve their individual ability and skills after an amazing performance as part of the team this year.
