King’s School under-14s have qualified for the ESSA Finals which take place at Walsall tomorrow.
King’s played excellently to defeat St Ambrose 8-0 and St Bedes 3-0. They lost 8-1 to Bolton and drew one apiece with Warwick.
They qualified on goal difference and will now face Bolton in the final.
Coach Dave Lord thanked club coaches and committee, King’s teacher Simon Dyer, mini-bus drivers and all who contributed to the team’s success.
Dave said: “It was an all round team performance; success for the school and club. Well done boys.”
The King’s under-14 team were goalkeeper Adam Smith, Cameron Terry, Josh Peters, Caleb Mackay, Harry Fowler, Cameron Chow, Tom Cotton, Aiden Burton, Noah Clegg, Austin Webb, William Seage, Jack Squires and James Pearson.
