BADMINTON: Grantham mixed team lose on the road

Grantham Badminton Club’s mixed second team travelled to play Cross O’Cliff, hoping to do the double over the Lincoln team.

But the home side came out on top with a convincing 8-1 win.

Sophie Turney and Adrian Ackroyd won a single rubber for Grantham, although reserves Kat Perry and Rob Scarborough almost claimed another after a tense three-ender.

Also playing were Jon Ashley and Jo Desorghes but they failed to win any of their games this time out.
