Kesteven 2nd 5

Notts Casuals 40

Notts Casuals brought a strong team across for this friendly match, with conditions dreadful on a very wet pitch.

Kesteven fielded a side with a mixture of youth and maturity but were up against a visiting team which included a number of very experienced players.

Casuals were able to use their strength to good effect and ran in six tries in all.

Kesteven did get on the scoresheet with a consolation try from Phil Jordan.

Despite the defeat, the match was nevertheless a good experience for the Colts who are emerging as a promising base for the future.

Kesteven comprised Ady Ward, Callum Scuffham, Nick Mawby, Ollie Hanson, Joe Robinson, Davey Hodgson, Andrew Peabody, Chris Warden, Alex King, Martyn Parker, Will Wood, James Bennett, Tom Wood, Oli Burns, Phil Jordan, Jay Radford, Will Pert, Ian Charles, Joe Brighten, Zack Kwasau, Harvey Fuller and Tom Price.
