The Harrowby Singers get ready for their next big show in Grantham

Tuesday, 11.20am - THE Harrowby Singers and friends are ready to belt out some well-known tunes from some of the big West End and Broadway shows.Songs from Oliver!, Guys and Dolls, Me and My Girl, South Pacific, Miss Saigon and West Side Story are in the programme for the Singers' production.

It will take place in the theatre at Walton Girls' High School, in Kitty Briggs Lane, Grantham, from Thursday to Saturday, March 13.

Singers' chairman Wendy Biggs said: "A great night of entertainment is guaranteed, with something for everyone."

The cast will be joined by Hi-Notes, Grantham School of Dance and Trevor Galtress.

Tickets, at 6, are on sale at Barnardo's, in High Street, Grantham. 1 from each sold will be donated to Help for Heroes.

There will also be a collection on the night for the charity, which supports soldiers injured in battle.

Meanwhile, the Harrowby Singers' production of Singin' in the Rain has been postponed until September.

The cast will perform the show September 15-18 at the Guildhall Arts Centre.
