Unattended pan causes house fire

Tuesday, 3.25pm- A KITCHEN caught fire at a house on Queensway last night.

Tuesday, 3.25pm- A KITCHEN caught fire at a house on Queensway last night.Two fire engines and police were called at around 6.10pm to the fire that started when a pan was left unattended on the cooker.

Two people were in the house when the fire started. They managed to extinguish the flames before the fire crews arrived. No one was hurt.

A police spokesman said: "We were concerned that there were people in the building that is why we attended.

"We were happy that there was no damage and it was ok for the people to stay at the address."
