Wednesday, 5.35pm - PECULIAR glowing orange orbs were spotted in the sky over Grantham last weekend.
Davinna Sharpe, a staff nurse at Grantham Hospital, spotted the strange sight in the sky above Manthorpe as she was on her way to work on Saturday, September 12.

She said: "Someone had stopped on the pavement and had their passenger side door open. As I got closer he was pointing upwards and there were four circular rings in the night sky.

"They were very silent and going down Manthorpe Road towards the town.

"A lot of people seemed to see them but nobody knew what they were."

The photograph was sent in my a reader who asked not to be identified.

He said there were four to six objects in the sky and he had called the police who told him they were most likely Chinese lanterns.

Did you see the orange balls? Were they Chinese lanterns or something more sinister? Send your views to comment@granthamjournal.co.uk
