Wednesday, 9.30am - IT'S time for us to confess - you probably worked this out already, but our UFO sighting video was an April fool.
We claimed that fictional Journal reader Colin Vole has shot a video that was indisputable proof that we're not alone in the universe.
But believe it or not we'd actually made the video ourselves, taking shots of St Wulfram's Church and the Guildhall and superimposing the "flying saucer".

The first people to see through the hoax were Central Technology and Sports College Year 11 students Adam Winch and Rosie Hay, who sent a detailed analysis of what was wrong with the film.
They said: "When looking at the clip you can see that the camera leads the light whereas if it was real the camera would be following the light. We have also noticed that the video has been recorded with Grantham's most recognisable landmarks in sight. This is a bit of a coincidence.
"We have also noticed within the article it states that the clip was recorded on a Saturday Night. Surely more than one person had noticed this. We find it very coincidental that the same person has seen it twice on the same night."
Canadian Stephan Dussault offered a less detailed critique. He wrote: "C'mon ... it is a bad fake. Have a nice day."
Philip Mantle, features editor of UFO Data magazine was also in touch. He said: "Whilst we would like to examine the video in question more closely I have the uncanny feeling that something is not quite right here.
"I've been involved in UFO research for 30 years and I have to say that I smell a rat on this occasion. Sorry."
Another sceptic was Jacquie Bockius, who wrote: "I think Colin Vale is putting you on. It is obviously hoaxed. Not sure why people do this, it raises the bar for the credibility factor regarding authentic sightings to be taken seriously. Very annoying!!
And finally Randy Kirkendoll got in touch to say: "That is a hoax video. It is not real."
