Grantham amateur dramatics group St Peter’s Hill Players is holding auditions to cast its upcoming production of Toad of Toad Hall.
A.A. Milne’s stage adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s famous novel The Wind in the Willows will be performed by the group at the Guildhall Arts Centre in Grantham in July.
Open auditions are being held at Grantham Meres Leisure Centre on Monday, March 10, Wednesday, March 12, and Monday March 17. All auditions will take place in the former crèche from 7.30pm, and with a cast of over 20 there are plenty of roles to be filled. Actors and actresses of all ages and experience are welcome to go along.
Toad of Toad Hall is the timeless tale of Mr Toad, a loveable rogue whose whims constantly get the better of him. Together with his friends Mole, Rat and Badger he must defeat the weasels and stoats of the Wild Wood and reclaim his freedom, his home and, of course, his beloved motor car.
Toad of Toad Hall will be performed at the Guildhall Arts Centre from Thursday to Saturday, July 24 to 26. Tickets will be available soon from the Guildhall Arts Centre box office.
