Woolsthorpe Manor

Places are available at a free masterclass exploring Lincolnshire’s Archives on Saturday afternoon (25 January) in Lincoln, with free bus transport from Grantham.

This is the first in a series of masterclasses from South Kesteven District Council’s Lincolnshire’s Age of Scientific Discovery - funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund to help volunteers expand their knowledge of the Newton period and learn how to make best use of local archives for research.

The archives office event in the Lecture Theatre at St Rumbold Street, from noon to 3.30pm, features Dr Mike Rogers, Lincolnshire County Archives, Dr John Manterfield, a specialist on the built environment in 17th Century Grantham and Peter Ryde and Steve White, Lincolnshire Film Archives and will feed into the 2014 Gravity Fields Festival in September.

The AC Williams coach leaves from Bay 1, Grantham Bus Station at 10.45am.
