Dysart Park in Grantham will host another Family Fun Day with 50 stalls, a whole host of bands and an arena full of acts to entertain visitors...and entry is free.
The event will be held on Sunday, September 15, starting at noon. The bands will perform in the bandstand and will alternate with the acts in the arena.
The arena acts will include The Chantry Dance Company, “The Flying Dakos” gymnastics display team, a falconry display and the Lincs Dog Training Display Team.
The day will also feature the Rotary “cartoon horses” in which people saddle up and race around a course.
On the bandstand, the musical entertainment will include guitarist and singer-songwriter Dick Appleton, rock covers band The Thieves and Descendents of Turkey Smart.
As well as numerous stalls selling bric-a-brac, jewellery, food and also fundraising for various causes, there will be refreshments on sale and a kiddies corner, featuring crafts, face painting and a bouncy castle.
There is also a raffle with prizes including an RAF Cranwell VIP Day with flight simulator, a trip around the House of Commons, and day passes to Belton House and Grimsthorpe Castle.
The event is organised by Dysart Park Action Group which raises money to improve facilities at the park. It is run in partnership with the Rotary Club of Grantham.
