Jazz enthusiasts will be hotfooting it to the Conservative Club in Grantham next week to see a set by Jeanie Barton and the Bohop Trio.
Jeanie started her musical career with three years as a principal in the National Youth Music Theatre before going on to study at the University of Warwick, performing regularly at Warwick Arts Centre.
She later went on to support Georgie Fame and sang backing vocals for Luddy Samms (The Drifters) and has performed at legendary venues such as The Jazz Cafe, The 606 club in Chelsea and Ronnie Scott’s.
To date Jeanie has released two records, an EP of popular standards called Jazz and Cocktails and her self penned album The Magical Mirror.
Accompanying her will be the Bohop Trio, featuring Neil Hunter on piano, Geoff Pearson on bass and Ian Beestin on drums.
You can see them at the Conservative Club on Thursday. Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8.30pm. Entry is £10 for members and £12 for non-members.
