A touring exhibition by the Society for Lincolnshire History and Archaeology (SLHA), entitled ‘Past and Present – Celebrating 170 years of the Society for Lincolnshire History and Archaeology’ is now on display at Grantham Museum.
The exhibition is part of a new project called ‘Past and Present’ which will run until April 2015 and include a variety of events and activities designed to encourage interest and enjoyment in the cultural heritage of Lincolnshire from the Humber to the Wash.
The exhibition will be in Grantham Museum until the end of October. The museum is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am-4pm. Admission is free.
Events and activities at Grantham Museum include a free ‘History Detectives’ trail for the summer holidays, evening and daytime talks, activity days for all the family, the first of which is called ‘Archaeology Detectives’, guided walks, ‘Harvest Home’, a folklore and music event and much, much more.
