A group of 52 youngsters joined a drama summer school and put on a performance for parents and family called Snow White, The Dwarfs and the Henchman.
The summer drama workshop took place at Walton Girls’ School and was run by Matthew Hewitt, choreographer Andrew Williams and singing coach Lee Harvey.
The youngsters, aged between five and 14, went through a strict fitness warm-up, singing drills and acting skills. All of their hard work and effort paid off when they performed two shows at the end of the week in front of proud family and friends.
Matt Hewitt, Director of MJH Productions said, “We had a wonderful week and the kids have been absolutely fantastic. Grantham and the surrounding area have lots of talented people and it has been a pleasure working with them.”
Kim Pell, teacher at Walton Girls’, was at school all week watching the rehearsals progress. She said: “The improvement the students have demonstrated from day one has been nothing but remarkable. The performances at the end of the week were absolutely superb. Well Done to you all!”
