THE Stamford Shakespeare Company will perform The Winter’s Tale for seven days from Monday.

The talented actors and actresses will take to the open-air stage at Tolethorpe Hall, near Stamford, as part of their current series of Shakespeare classics.

As well as Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale and Hamlet, the group is also performing its traditional non-Shakespearean play, this year Pride & Prejudice.

Thousands upon thousands of theatre-goers travel to Tolethorpe Hall from all over every year to watch the Stamford Shakespeare Company perform.

The Winter’s Tale tells the story of love, jealousy, forgiveness and redemption, and is a play praised in a recent review in the Journal.

Evening showings begin at 7.45pm, with a Saturday matinee starting at 1.30pm.

Gates open early to allow guests to take along and enjoy a picnic.
