A NEW music festival showcasing some of the best bands from the region will take place at Arena UK, Allington, this summer.
The showjumping venue will host Musical Explosion, a brand new event offering live music as well as a varied selection of entertainment, from July 8 to 10.
Organisers want the festival to be accessible to all regardless of age or disability.
There will be a wide range of music on at least two stages over the three days.
Like any big festival visitors will be able to camp at the event, and the campsite at Arena UK even has electricity hook-ups - offering comparative luxury.
Other attractions will include story- tellers, activities and workshops for children, trade stands, salsa dancing and an open area for musicians who want to meet up and play together.
Bands booked so far include: Romantic Idols; The Red Light Proposal; The Band from County Hell; Abi Moore; Amicus; Basetone Slap; Beth Frisby; Blackbeard’s Teaparty; Dammit Jack; Fixit Kid; Grand Dukes; Groove Merchants; Identity Crisis; Kirsty Scarlett; Kiss Corona; Monkiejamm; Name of the Game; No Future UK; Richard Hills; Selma Thurman; Short Notice; The Venice Notebooks.
