A CREATIVE Caythorpe resident who is displaying artwork in a community arts centre thanks stunning countryside surrounding Grantham for giving her inpiration.

Christina Stevens is one of 50 artists in the area displaying pieces at the new, not-for-profit arts centre in Peakirk, north of Peterborough.

She has been making ceramic and crafts for over 16 years, selling under the name ‘HereNorThere’.

Christina said: “I get my inspiration from the nature around me. Grantham’s surrounding countryside provides me with a wealth of inspiration and ideas.”

Over 10 pieces of Christina’s craft works are included in the exhibition, and they are also for sale.

The arts centre works by allowing artists from across the region to show and sell their work, with 20 per cent of all sales going to local good causes and charities.

Christina said: “I am really pleased to support this new community initiative.

“I think the centre is a really unique space and I hope that locals and tourists will seize the opportunity to view such a wide and varied range of arts and crafts under one roof.”
