Talented art students are displaying their work of life drawings for an exhibition at the Guildhall.
More than 40 pictures are on display, many of them for sale.
The pictures have been produced this year by students of a popular life drawing course run by local artist Sarah Watson.
The works were created from male and female life models in a variety of media, including charcoal, pastels and acrylics. Poses lasted from just one minute to two hours.
Now in its third year, the exhibition in the arts centre’s Newton Room features the work of 18 artists.
Sarah said: “Thirteen of the artists are new life drawing exhibitors, ensuring an even more diverse display of styles and approaches. From Michelangelo to Tracy Emin, the male and female figure has presented an ongoing fascination for artists, resulting in some of the most iconic art in world history.”
The exhibition runs until the end of next week and entry is free.
A new course starts in January. For details, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0774 811 0951.
