TEENAGER Caitlin Beddoes-Jones has a real talent when it comes to drawing horses.
The 14-year-old, from Stainby, has created some stunning equine drawings using just a pencil.
She has begun entering her pieces of work into exhibitions - although, a typical teenager, she admits the cash made from sales goes towards trips to the hair salon.
Caitlin said: “I like to draw, it’s something I’ve always been good at.
“I’ve progressed and developed my drawing since just before the summer holidays and I’ve gotten really good at it.”
Three of her equine drawings were recently chosen to be included in a display in Newmarket, and two of them were bought at £75 each.
Caitlin said: “It’s good to have some money, and it did pay for me to get mny hair coloured!
“I am hoping to turn drawing into a career, I’ll see how it goes.”
Artist and friend Belinda Sillars, who used to work from an extension at the family’s home, was a real inspiration to Caitlin.
It was while watching the sculptor at work that Caitlin found her artistic side, which was encouraged by Belinda.
Caitlin said: “Belinda helped me a lot with my artwork and helped me develop my skills in drawing. It was really good to have someone there to teach me.”
