THE next concert in the Music in Quiet Places summer season next week has a distinct classical theme.
After the varied programme from percussion pair O Duo in the second concert in the series, this latest performance will feature classical trio Florin Ensemble, pictured right.
Charles Mutter (violin), Alistair Scahill (viola), and Catherine Rimer (cello), will perform Schubert’s Trio in B flat, Beethoven’s Duo for viola and cello (Eyeglasses) and Serenade in D; and Francaix’s String Trio in C
The members of Florin Ensemble have strong chamber music backgrounds as well having diverse professional lives.
Charles is associate leader of the BBC Concert Orchestra, Alistair is one of London’s top freelance viola players and Catherine is guest continuo with leading ‘period’ orchestras.
The concert is at St Andrew’s Church, West Deeping, on Thursday, June 28 at 7.30pm.
Tickets costing £12 (£11, £7 students) are available from the Guildhall, Grantham, and The Red Lion in West Deeping.
