A country music artist inspired by Johnny Cash is the next guest at the Best of Friends Country Music Club in Grantham.
Chris, who hails from Leeds, appears at the venue in the Masonic Hall, Chambers Street, tomorrow (Saturday) in concert style.
The solo performer caught the country music bug early in his life after seeing an advert for a Johnny Cash album.
His time spent working in America along with the emergence of atrists such as Dwight Yoakam and Steve Earle reignited that flame set in his early years, encouraging him to learn songs written by these artists.
Chris released his first album, Watching You Go, in 1997, recieving critical acclaim for both his original songs and covers.
The album recieved praise from UK country music magazines, and he has been nominated for Best Male Vocalist in the British Counrty Music Awards.
