SINGERS from the Grantham-based gospel group the Choir Invisible perform two concerts in the area this month.
The first is at Victoria Hall in Oakham on Saturday, July 9, and the second on the following Saturday, July 16, at Barnbygate Methodist Church in Newark.
Choir leader Sally Brown said: “The choir is really looking forward to singing in the light, bright settings of these two historic venues – each with just over 200 tickets available.
“This is pure, unadulterated, free-range, locally-sourced, totally passionate acapella!
“We’ll be singing our distinctive repertoire: the big-hearted songs of South African gospel, and the blues-inflected, classic gospel of America’s deep south alongside sweet soul music.”
Tickets for both concerts are £10 (£8). Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
