A musician born in Grantham is returning to the town on Friday (October 4) to perform with his band.
Ed Stones left Grantham seven years ago, but he returns with his band Ed Stones and the BD3 who will play Oscars.
The Bradford-based band play a mixture of country, rock ‘n’ roll, soul and even a bit of punk.
Ed said: “It’s a bit of a mix. We have a kind of rockabilly image.”
The band have just recorded a self-titled album with 15 tracks and Ed says he hopes to bring a few copies with him to Grantham.
Ed was in the Army before he left Grantham for Yorkshire. He later lost his job and took up songwriting and playing guitar full-time.
Ed, who is 27 and the father of a three-year-old, said: “I am looking forward to Grantham. Friends have said they are coming along and I am hoping it will be busy. I tend to get out there in the crowd.”
The band will be on stage about 9pm. For more about them go to www.edstonesandthebd3.com and www.facebook.com/EdStonesandTheBD3.
