Two outstanding musicians in the Scottish folk tradition are appearing in Grantham.
Aly Bain, Scotland’s supreme fiddler, and accordian player Phil Cunningham, will appear at the Guildhall Arts Centre on Thursday, April 11, at 7.30pm.
As a founder member of Boys of the Lough, Aly Bain toured extensively in America, Europe and the UK and in 1994, was awarded an MBE.
Phil Cunningham joined his brother John in the highly acclaimed band Silly Wizard and in June 1996, was named one of Scotland’s most influential people.
Together, Bain and Cunningham have won the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards best duo accolade. Tickets cost £16.
