HARLAXTON Manor is the magical setting of a trio of chamber music concerts in aid of the British Red Cross.
Each concert will be held in the manor’s Great Hall, with the gardens and conservatory open for guests to wander round.
The first concert is on Friday, May 13, featuring the Dussek Duo. Harpist Eleanor Turner and forte pianist Douglas Hollick will perform their repertoire of the turn of the 19th century, using an 1811 Clementi square piano and 1806 harp made by Erard Freres Paris.
Next in the series is a performance by saxophonist Sarah Markham. She will make a welcome return on Friday, June 3, having played at the manor in 2003.
Finally, The Hepplewhite Piano Trio will play in the Great Hall on Friday, June 17.
Formed in 2009 by students at the Birmingham Conservatoire, the trio has already performed widely and won a number of awards.
Tickets to each concert are £10 (£7) and are available by calling 0845 054 7171.
