SCARECROWS will dominate the landscape in Bitchfield this weekend for an annual festival.
Everyone is invited to come along and view the scarecrows on Saturday and Sunday which will be scattered around Bitchfield and Lower Bitchfield. Of particular interest are likely to be the array of Victorian characters populating the grounds around the village church.
There will be refreshments and a bar open on Saturday between 2pm and 6pm and on Sunday from midday along with a barbecue.
Lady Ursula Cholmeley of Easton Estate will judge the entries on Sunday afternoon between 2.30pm and 3.30pm
All funds raised on the day will go towards ongoing work on St Mary Magdalene Church. The church requires work worth around £6,000.
