Acclaimed comedian Sean Hughes is back on tour following a popular run of his new show ‘Penguins’ at The Edinburgh Fringe.

Awarded the Herald Angels Award for Best Comedy show, Sean brings ‘Penguins’ to the Guildhall Arts Centre in Grantham on Friday, January 24, at 7.30pm.

The multi-talented Sean has many TV and radio credits to his name including writing and starring in the cult favourite ‘Sean’s Show’ (Channel 4), and a long stint as team captain on ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ (BBC2).

Full of surprises and hidden twists, this show has recurring themes that you find yourself mapping out hours later. Sean takes us back to his Dublin upbringing and the utter awkwardness of teenage life, weaving in his family, school days, the business of friendship and tying it all in to present life. Its multi-layered format has you asking questions such as ‘Why does society tell us how to behave and react?’ and ‘What does it have to do with Penguins?’

Tickets cost £15. To book, call the Guildhall Box Office on 01476 406158, or visit online at www.guildhallartscentre.com
