Students at Priory Ruskin Academy will put on a play to showcase the school’s performing talent.
They will perform Dinner for Romeo which tells the story of a school preparing to put on a play. Students from all year groups are involved.
Director Matthew Hewitt says the play is a comedy mixed with drama focussing on relationships within a school.
Mr Hewitt said: “Anybody can come and see it. We want people to come because it is a genuinely good piece of theatre and very funny and also moving. They will be amazed.
“The performance is a celebration of the new school and its facilities. It will also showcase the talent that there is at Priory.”
The play will be performed on October 2 and 3. Tickets cost £6/£5 and are available from the school on 01476 410 410.
Mr Hewitt will also be taking part in two performances of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged at the school on October 9 and 10. Tickets cost £8/£7 from the school.
