INSPIRATIONAL woman Virginia Ironside will tell all why growing old is great at Ropsley Village Hall on Thursday.
The writer will bring her show ‘The Virginia Monologues - Why Growing Old Is Great’ as part of the Lincolnshire Rural Touring arts scheme.
Written by Virginia and directed by actor and comedian Nigel Planer, the show premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to great acclaim and played a limited season of UK sell-out gigs in 2010.
Among the topics she broaches are unlimited free drugs, fun funerals, grandchildren and sex, and how they make the sixties the best time of a person’s life.
The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £8 each or £20 for a family. To buy, call 01476 585333 or 01476 585729.
