A YOUNG performing arts group based in Grantham is soon to perform a stage version of the heart-warming musical ‘The Wizard Of Oz’.

The stage performance by Star Academy shares the story of Dorothy, a young girl whose farm is hit by a devastating twister.

The twister carries her over the rainbow where she meets the Tin Man, Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion. The audience will be carried along on their journey down the Yellow Brick Road to meet the magical Wizard of Oz.

‘The Wizard Of Oz’ is a tale perfect for all ages and is sure to make everyone smile with songs such as ‘Over The Rainbow’, ‘We’re Off To See The Wizard’, ‘If Only I Had a Brain’ and many more classics.

The opening night of this musical will be at the Guildhall Arts Centre in Grantham on Friday, March 30, at 7.30pm. There will also be two further performances on Saturday, March 31, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
