Tuesday, noon - ANTI-wind farm campaigners flew a blimp over the site of a proposed wind farm near Billingborough and Pointon at the weekend.
Members of AGAST - Action Group Against Sempringham Turbines - launched the blimp on Saturday morning.
It flew for seven hours at around 395ft - the height of the wind turbines proposed by ScottishPower Renewables.
AGAST Chairman Debbie Wren said: "Flying the blimp was successful in that people in the area could see what a huge impact this will have on our landscape.
"One farmer reported to me that they could see it quite clearly out of their kitchen window almost two miles away. This is incredible considering the size of the blimp in comparison with the real deal.
"If we can see something that small from that far away what are the actual turbines going to look like?"
The group plans to fly the blimp, which it has borrowed from fellow campaign group BLOT, again this weekend.
A meeting for local people to discuss the wind farm proposal has been called by Billingborough Parish Council.
It will be held on Wednesday, September 10, from 7pm to 9pm in Billingborough Village Hall.
