Thursday, 12.50pm - A GIANT blimp was flown above the site of a proposed wind farm in the Vale of Belvoir on Monday by anti-wind farm campaign group BLOT.
Campaigners flew the blimp above the site in preparation for an appeal being brought by Infinergy which wants to build ten turbines at Thackson's Well but was refused permission in March.

BLOT's landscape architect was in the area as the blimp was being flown preparing the group's submissions for the appeal, which begins on September 30.

Spokesman Jamie Mawer said: "The blimp could be seen from as far away as Belton, which shows what a destructive impact these turbines would have on the landscape in and around the Vale of Belvoir and far beyond."
